COMMUNITY SERVICE

Our Rotarians care a great deal about our community and the environment, which is why we give countless hours of service and thousands of dollars in donations in the form of grants.

Adopt-A-Highway

Our club sponsors an area of highway along the scenic lakeside route of Red Arrow Highway. Working alongside Interact Club Members, we gather together twice a year to clean up a mile of roadside.

The Rotary Club of St. Joseph-Benton Harbor sponsors the three-mile stretch of Lakeshore Drive from Maiden Lane to Cleveland Ave in St. Joseph, Michigan. Working alongside Interact Club, Rotary Club Members transform roadways as part of our ongoing commitment to improve our community.

SJ-BH Rotary Club Foundation Grants

Established in 1980, the S. Joseph-Benton Harbor Rotary Club Foundation has awarded over $1,000,000 in grants to area causes. Through club members’ donations the foundation has grown to over $1.7 million in assets. Normally, only income earned by investment of members’ donations is disbursed through grants. A volunteer Board of Directors made up of Rotary members sets policy and approves all grants.
